Cardona quick to shrug off fresh trade rumors By Richard Dy

“Meron naman akong naririnig na trade, pero kasama naman iyan sa buhay namin sa PBA eh,” says Meralco star Mac-Mac Cardona. Jerome Ascano
MAC-MAC Cardona is no longer affected by rumors of him being traded to another team, saying he has long accepted that being dealt away is part and parcel of a professional player’s life.
“Meron naman akong naririnig na trade, pero kasama naman iyan sa buhay namin sa PBA eh,” he admitted toSpin.ph. “Though hangga’t di nangyayari iyan, siyempre, di totoo yan.”
Rumors about Cardona being on the trading block have once again surfaced  early in the season, and the talk became louder following a bad shooting night for unorthodox guard in Meralco’s 110-112 overtime loss to defending Philippine Cup champion Talk `N Text on Wednesday night.
There have been a couple of tweets about him supposedly being peddled around to other teams.
Cardona finished with only seven points on 2-of-6 shooting in 32 minutes of play. But he was a perfect 3-of-3 from the foul line, had three rebounds, and three assists.
The 6-foot-1 Cardona attributed his bad shooting night to bad luck.
“Malas lang talaga, siyempre, di naman laging buwenas,” said the shooting guard from La Salle.  “Kailangan lang talagang bumangon. Siyempre, lahat naman tayo nagkaka-struggle.”
Since being picked fifth overall in the 2005 Rookie Draft by Air21, Cardona had already been traded thrice. He was shipped by the Express to Talk `N Text before the start of the 2005-06 season, and helped the Tropang Texters win the Philippine Cup in 2008-09, where he was named Finals MVP.
The Tropang Texters later dealt him to the Bolts at the start of the 2010-2011 season.
