Yeng Guiao expects tough challenge from San Mig Coffee in rematch of Governors’ Cup finals InterAKTV

Halloween is still a week away, but for Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao, it could happen on Wednesday.
The volatile Elasto Painters coach expects San Mig Coffee to go all out when the two squads collide for the first time since their epic seven-game series in last season’s PBA Governors’ Cup finals, which was won by Rain or Shine.
“I’m sure the finals of the last conference still haunts them and the motivation is to exorcise the ghosts of the past by beating us tomorrow,” said Guiao as they try to improve their 3-1 win-loss mark in their 7:30 p.m. encounter at the Big Dome.
“That’s the best way for them to celebrate Halloween.”
Rain or Shine shocked San Mig Coffee, formerly known as B-MEG, in the season-ending conference finals last season to notch the franchise’s first crown since entering the league in 2006.
Guiao said his team is ready for the challenge.
“It’s a big test for us but I think we are playing with a lot of confidence and poise,” Guiao said.
